Squarespace is a website building platform and hosting company. It’s an ideal platform for almost any small business. Unlike Wordpress, Squarespace allows individuals to create beautiful and functional web pages from scratch, without the need for a web developer, and takes away the need to constantly update and manually manage your website on a monthly basis.
Once we have built your custom site, you'll be able to manage it and update content yourself. To make sure you're comfortable on Squarespace, we'll have a training session where you’ll be trained in everything you need to know to edit text, upload images, add blog content etc so you can manage your site with ease.
Squarespace provides beautiful templates that are incredibly easy for anyone to customise. However, when we design a Squarespace website at the Upala Studio, we ditch the template and create a custom design from a blank page.
There is a big difference between a nice template and a strategic website that takes your ideal client on a journey through your site. Structuring the website intuitively for readers, curating harmonious imagery that reflects your brand, and writing copy that gets your message across quickly and resonates with your target audience - is where a designer can really take your business to the next level.
We also implement extensive custom code and CSS on every project so your site never looks like a template and instead reflects your unique business beautifully.
You can find Squarespace's pricing on their website, and most clients require the Business Plan so we can add plugins and custom code to create something beautiful, unique and fully customised.
(Please note: This cost, along with the cost of your domain (which is free for the first year), is additional to my website design fee.)
All my payments are handled online and can be paid in your local currency. We work with clients all over the world, but as a UK based business the prices are quoted in £GBP.
Yes. We appreciate that working with a designer is a big investment, so we try to make payments as simple as possible for our clients. First, you'll pay a 25% non-refundable deposit to reserve your spot in our schedule. From there, we'll break up the rest into instalments that will be spread equally throughout the project. However, we’re flexible and happy to discuss other payment plan options that work better with your budget.
